Objectives
- To perform Proficiency Testing in clinical laboratories
- Strengthen and reinforce Internal Quality Control (IQC) procedures through the use of the standard operating procedures.
- Distribute a comprehensive External Quality Assessment (EQA) programme to cover all medical laboratory disciplines
- Assist laboratories in Zimbabwe and in other African countries to improve performance.

Mission
ZINQAP's mission is to assist medical laboratories to assess and improve the quality of laboratory results they produce in order to maintain a high standard of practice ensuring that results being sent out are reliable and timely thus giving maximum benefit to the patient.

Our Activities
- Preparation and dispatch of EQA specimens in the various clinical laboratory disciplines i.e. Haematology and blood transfusion, Microbiology, Clinical chemistry, Serology, Immunology
- Analysis of results from registered participating laboratories followed by an objective report from ZINQAP.
- Regular consultatory visits to medical laboratories.
- Conducting regular laboratory workshops to address Quality Assurance problems.
- Facilitating and conducting QA courses for participating laboratories and companies in private and government sectors.
- Assist laboratories in Zimbabwe and in other African countries to improve performance.
